The Handover Dinner for Cumbernauld Rotary Club took
place on Wednesday in the Westerwood Hotel - President Tom Reilly received
the Rotary Chain of Office from outgoing President Andy Cunningham. Tom
thanked Andy for all his hard work over the past year and especially
arranging the 40th Anniversary Dinner in Cumbernauld College
raising £5000.00 for local charities. Tom highlighted that – although the
club is in very good heart – we would like to increase the new members of
Rotary to expand and continue the good work of the Club – the whole club
have taken this on board and Tom has set the criteria for the success of his
year in office that it should be measured by the increase in membership – a
real challenge.
